My first try of Wok Hey because of the "hype" and looong queues spotted. As someone who values food for its price, this food chain doesn't meet my preferences since its overpriced for the amount of food in one box. The food itself is nice, beef is soft and chewy, Japanese rice goes well with the aroma, but still not worth the $7-8 for this portion. Try once only

Tried the crabmeat Laksa fried rice last week and loved the singaporean twist. The crabmeat was chunky, sweet and juicy unlike other crabmeat I’ve eaten from hawker joints. They forgot to include cucumbers in my rice and I only realised after I finished my takeaway meal. Contacted them the next day on a Saturday and they were very quick to resolve via Facebook messenger. Thanks for your prompt customer service!

Food is pretty good but service leaves alot more to be desired. I guess it was my fault for asking the waiting time only after I've paid. Mainly because I never expected a "food stand" styled food to take up to half an hour 😂. Still , would be nice to know in advance if it would take long. It's my first time buying so I never expected that. Cashier wasn't very friendly either

The fried rice is amazing, but the portions are too small for me to feel full. Minimal waiting but its quite noisy on the basement floor.

Ordered the udon this evening. Not sure if this is the right portion. Only half of the box is filled? This is not the first time that I was given such a small portion. Quite disappointing for a heavily pregnant women who can’t have her meal satisfied :(

I was there at 245pm on a fri. After ordering i requested for more chilli only to be told the chilli was out of stock. 1stly why staff didnt mention b4 i ordered and pay and only told me after. Also there was no apology or watsoever. Totally unacceptable!! Please look into this Management of Wok Hey.

ordered shanghai fried rice with beef and was given shanghai fried rice without beef. paid $8.40 for shanghai fried rice without beef. fried rice tasted ok.

Extremely slow when preparing orders, taking around 30 mins during off-peak periods. Probably shouldn’t waste time on them.

Ordered online for self pick up at 1153Hr and the food is only ready at 1243Hr. Almost an hour wait for the food!! From hungry become hangry!! Wanted to give 1 star for review! But thankfully the fried cauliflower rice with egg Is delicious and it was in a nice Christmas packaging saved them from a 1 star review. Decided to give them 3 stars instead.

Slow preparation time and on top of that poor customer service. They served out 2 separate packed orders (one blue box and one red box) and pressed the queue number 416. My order was 417. So the 416 order (red box) was picked up and the other order (blue box) was left at the counter. But we didn't think it was our order coz it might be other food delivery. And if it's 417, I didn't think that any of the 2 staff would miss that since the orders came out together. We are talking about only 2 staff at this time. So we patiently waited for our turn. I watched the kitchen as they prep. After they prepared another order of about 5 boxes and placed it on the counter, they pressed 417 and passed my son the blue box that was left at the counter since at least 7 to 8 mins ago. What the hell. So the food was there all along and I have waited for nothing. It is funny how the staff remembered to press 416 but forgot that he has another order of 417 when they are placed at the counter together?????? Even if you forget, don't u need to check what order number it is?? And kept us waiting and my food left cold when we were all along physically standing outside the stall. Seriously this is my last time eating wok hey. I don't eat and this was ordered by my son so now I am making sure my family is boycotting this franchise. Food not fantastic and cost more expensive for that little bit of meat. King of Fried Rice had better service, faster prep time and super delicious fried rice. Don't waste time with Wok Hey. And I saw one kitchen staff taking a plastic spoon to taste some food. I hope he remembered to throw the spoon away and not use it repeatedly to taste the food that he cooks.

Waiting time is very very long in the recent months. Would not recommend this outlet. 1st example: Ordered at 1130am, received order at 1230pm on a weekday. 2nd example: Ordered at 115pm, received at 145pm on a weekday even though I was number 3 in the queue?? 30mins for 3 person????

Ordered online when it stated 20-30mins. Paid as well. After waiting for 30mins, the counter staff updated me that order would take another 15mins max. I wouldn't have ordered if waiting time was updated on their online ordering platform. Is false reporting of approximate waiting time on purpose?

Service at this outlet is atrocious. The quality of food makes up for it although I feel they are a little light handed as compared to other outlets. Ordered my meal at 8.30pm yesterday. Only got it about 1 hr and 15 minutes later. I managed to buy 2 other food items elsewhere and round the basement area 4 times while waiting and I came back to my meal still not ready. Saw a lone packet sitting on the counter for about 20 minutes, turns out it was mine as I went ahead to finally take it. The online website didn't prompt that it was ready and I only got the sms that my food was ready when my meal was ready 15 minutes ago. Stood there like an idiot. Staff didn't even bother using the digital number display to make our lives easier to collect our food. Instead, they love seeing us stand there wasting our time to guess whether that packet is ours or not. They also call out only delivery platform numbers, so whoever walks in or orders via their qr code will have to guess if that packet on the counter is theirs because they won't let you know. From the number of bad reviews here, my guess is that the management doesn't even care. Best to buy from any other outlet except here.

Never really had any issues ordering with them.. My strat is to order online way before I visit (they will give estimated time which is rather accurate), then it is usually ready by the time I reach. One comment is that sometimes the chilli is not stir-fried in (despite me ticking the option to do so)

i tried the truffle fried rice and truffle udon because it was only available this festive season. i can safely say that it did not disappoint! i love how they paired the smoked ham, cranberries and macadamias to elevate the dish. it paired super well and i would recommend giving it a try since it is a seasonal item!
