Here goes ... craving for Sushi so decided to head over to this outlet at Woodland Civic Plaza. Prior to that googled the website and was told there wasn't any empty slots available but we end up just trying our luck . We arrived, lo and behold, they had LOTS of empty seats. Hhmmm ... my thoughts would be that the reservation system is not functioning well ya (benefit of the doubt lah) Anyways, got our seats and we were just told to order via the IPad, ok, easy enough. Here's the slight unpleasantness. The variety of plated sushi on the belt is super limited in choices. Seriously it was like so limited that we ended up ordering from the menu. I would have thought that having the belt would be a faster and more efficient way to get our food faster. We took 3 plates of whatever was on the belt while waiting for our orders. Prior to that, we ordered tea and Coke which didn't arrive after 15mins. Our dishes arrived like 30mins later, that's fine but what's triggering here is this 4 slices of Salmon Sashimi, which cost $11 looks so pathetic. I mean seriously?!?!? The pictures speaks for itself. And the rest if the thinly sliced sushi and sad looking soft shell California roll. Disappointed does not describe my feelings. All in all, we paid almost $80 and seriously, it's not worth it. For that amount I left the restaurant unfulfilled. Cost may have increased but cutting corners like this is really bad for any business. I definately would not recommend this place to anyone. Food : 1 / 5 Ambience : 2 / 5 Staff : 2.5 / 5

Came for lunch. One of the sushi was spoilt. Its a snowcrabstick sushi. Taken one was ok but saw the texture of the other one is off. Slimy and sticky like. Told the server there, that this sushi not fit for consumption. No apologies, just say ok and took the sushi away. Came back after a while and ask if i want a replacement, i said no. I no longer have any appetite and proceed to pay.

Ok my bad for not reading reviews before I go in this place. Was having late lunch and all I can think of is just having lunch at nearby and not fast food. I regretted it 🙄 I should just go to Causeway Point and dine there , cheaper and better food . The sushi plates are just pricey and taste below average. Just like other reviews, the sushi serves in the conveyor belt is not cold . In fact , my first sushi taste slightly warm for chuka version of sushi . I took sometime to pick the plates as there was not much choices to choose from. I am still very surprised how this restaurant still around with not many patrons visiting this restaurant. Overall , it’s really not worth to come to this restaurant for dine in. I also don’t know why this restaurant still can charge service fee though very little service is being performed here. No matter how attractive the promotion is, I think this will be my first and last visit here.

- SLOW SERVICE - NO PROFESSIONALISM - NO CUSTOMERS SERVICE - reached at 1640, at 1750 food still not served. Informed 2 of their staff and 1 of them said kitchen is busy while the other dont bother to check. Their Manager MICHAEL is not helpful and likes to interupt us when we ask him why we didnt receive the food. In the end, they just blame it on the system. WORST SUSHI PLACE

one of the worst diners i have been to. even a normal coffee shop can do better than this. majority of the food doesn’t taste good or tasty at all. food was ridiculously overpriced. i spend $40! (per person proportion) the staff that my boyfriend and i have encountered were pretty decent but they kept coming back to our table to ask if we had any last orders to make. bring your own wet tissues! most people would assume the tissues placed on the table are free and maybe might include in the service charge but they’re not! it’s a separate fee! you have to pay for the tissues and the staff didn’t even bother to tell us! if i knew, i wouldn’t want to use the tissues because i brought my own! hate to break it to you but the restaurant HAS PESTS!! there were FLIES AND RATS under the conveyor belt in the lights. my boyfriend and i both saw the rats! i’m utterly disappointed and the first thing that came to my mind was the place is DIRTY. already feedback to the staff but for my overall experience it wasn’t a great one. only came here because it’s the nearest location for halal sushi

Good halal sushi. Salmon sashimi was thick and fresh. The conveyor belt sushi was not bad but I preferred the aburi items that were made fresh to order. Aburi scallop was very good n fresh. Came for late lunch on Monday. Edit: just read the other reviews and perhaps management has made some changes. The salmon sashimi was 7.99 for 4 thick slices, which I felt was reasonable. And service was quite fast as I didn't fancy much sushi on the conveyor belt and kept ordering from the menu to be made n delivered. Do give a try pls, I don't want to travel so far for halal sushi if they close down hahaha.

Salmon sashimi wasn't fresh. It also came in a bed of ice that had partially melted. Taste of the sushi wasn't great. At one point I also saw a fly land on my food. Price-wise, not exactly value for money. I won't be coming back.

Menu picture of kid's meal called the "Fireman set" shows the food served in a "fire engine" plate, and comes with a tomato, both of which are my kid's favorite. When the actual food came, there was no "fire engine" plate, and no tomato at all (note that food shown in photo is already partially eaten). My kid was immensely disappointed when the actual food came, compared to what was shown in the picture which got him all excited. When asked for an explanation, the waiter only gave remarks such as "the menu picture is only for illustration", and "what you want me to do? there is no tomato in the kitchen." Needless to say, this is a very disappointing dining experience. The rest of the food is mediocre and overpriced, but it pales in comparison with my kid's disappointment.

Agedashi Tofu was extremely salty! We ate at Hei since we were dating, until we got married and our kids grew up with Hei over weekends. To think the prices was increased, favourites removed and quality dropped we still went back. But, today is extremely disappointing. It’s sad to see how a favourite is loosing its charm and customers. Please pick up the pieces and do better.

Came early today to eat at hei sushi woodlands and based on google opening hour was at 11am. waited till 11am and still not opened yet. Staff was seen walking around but did not bother to inform the customer queuing outside that it opens later. Waited till 11.30 and by then, there were several people queuing up outside, thinking that hei sushi opens at 11am based on google. (Note that there were NO SIGN on the restaurant’s opening hours) Staff was seen sitting at the cashier watching drama while customers were waiting outside. Finally managed to get the staff’s attention and she mentioned that Hei Sushi is only open at 12pm. Either the opening hours stated in google is wrong or staff refused to open at 11am, turning away us customers just like that. Really poor service!

Came on a Thursday afternoon, 3.45pm. Placed an order for their raw oyster sashimi at 3.48, place was not busy. Waited until 4.03 after 15mins, told waiter to cancel it as rushing off. Waiter told us to sit down and went to the kitchen to take the oysters out immediately. A peek into the kitchen shows staffs sitting down and not doing anything. Once oyster was served, it had a strong fishy smell and hence did not touch it. Immediately paid and left. Manager was nice to offer us to swap it out for other dishes, but was in a hurry to leave. Need better quality control and staff training.

They charge $1 for hot water but they don't tell you. The cups are placed at conveyor belt as if water is free. No sign to say it's chargeable. Staff also don't inform you when they seat you down. When I feedback upon payment to whom I assume is the manager, he was silent and didn't bother to reply. Food standard is dropping day by day. Quality and taste is mediocre, items are overpriced. 30% of menu items are always NA. Never going back. I hope they go out of business eventually..

Do not believe the 5 star reviews! Place is offering a free color plate sushi for reviews. Food is not fresh, feedback to the waiter. But waiter insisted we pay already and no refund. Manager was nice to offer other dishes in exchange, but was rushing off. Service was slow despite non peak hour, kitchen staffs were just sitting around. Conveyor belt is dirty (could see dust at spots that the staffs were lazy to clean). Plain hot water in cup looks like tea! (Cup was very old and look dirty)
