First time visit and it will be the last. Seafood tomyum really below standard, the soup base was not flavourful, seafood was kind of 'frozen' smell. Green curry with strong coconut milk taste, lacked of the essential Thai Basil flavour. Mixed vegetable was even worse, lots of China cabbage which was quite different from other Thai restaurants. The taste was not there, can't even taste the fragrance of fish sauce, perhaps oyster sauce only. Turmeric chicken was best among all in my orders which was due to the use of boneless chicken leg. There is not many seats, given the limited dining space. Overall not price-worthy given the quality & environment compared to competitors around this area.

Although it was near closing, staff still allowed us to dine in. Food is very flavorful, but it's to be expected for Thai food. It can get quite spicy so non-spicy folks take note. There's gonna be lots of chilli flakes. Kinda disappointed with my salted egg chicken Tom yum fried rice. I mean I don't taste the salted egg at all Need to try the rest to comment, but I've visited other outlets before and the food is good.

First time trying this place. Pretty decent Thai flavour! Ordered a set for 2 pax - came with tomyum soup, veg, rice, basil chicken, and two drinks. Seafood tomyum was rich in flavour and came with a lot of ingredients. The stir fried veg was surprisingly nice. Oyster sauce but somehow it was nicer than the typical. very friendly staff as well

Love Sakon Thai.. excellent Thai food.. love the tom yum seafood..prawn omelette. The Thai ice tea was great.. you can request for less sweet.. enjoyed my lunch! Friendly staff and prompt when attending to request! Excellent!

The basil beef rice is just so so. The basil flavour is scanty and could be stronger. The lemongrass drink also has very light lemongrass flavour. 3 stars more so for the friendly staff and fast serving , rather than the food itself

A great spot for affordable and simple comfort food. We ordered a few dishes and here are our thoughts: The clear tom yum soup was decent, and we requested it to be less spicy. It had lots of mushrooms, which I absolutely love. The stir-fried mixed veggies were normal and simple, nothing special to rave about, but it went well with rice. The honey chicken had a sweet and tasty flavour, but unfortunately, the chicken was hard, which was a letdown. On the bright side, the Thai milk tea was thick and quite enjoyable. Overall, the food was affordable and satisfactory. The honey chicken could be improved, but the clear tom yum soup and Thai milk tea were definite highlights.

Frequent visitor but hasn't been coming the last 10months & returned to the same homely and fulfilling meal! Price has slightly increased since but still tasted good. New makciks serving since I last came & they were slightly aggressive in their tones but all is good i guess. Thai coconut was hard - only could drink🥲

I went to Sakon Thai at Northpoint City on the 18/08/23 with my partner to dine in for dinner. We bought the promo meal for 2 pax that served tom yum soup, stir fried kailan, tumeric chicken and rice. I usually wait good 10-15mins at other Thai restaurants for them to serve the food hot. But here, I was served within 5mins. I’m not sure if the food was prepared in advance for customers. The kailan was served half cooked. Not even stir fried properly. It was so crunchy and I could taste the raw vegetable. The turmeric chicken was half cooked as well. When we asked one of the server to ask the chef to cook the chicken for a longer time, it came back to us within 1min. I doubt the chef even cooked it. (There wasn’t any smoke coming out of the chicken. Just extra garnish). We had no choice but to ask the server again but all she suggested is to change the dish to another. The server was very rude as she insisted that the turmeric chicken was meant to be half cooked. There was another lady who was kept singing to herself while serving. This is really not professional to customer service. I hope the management team can help us to resolve the customer service issues. Thank you.

Ordered fried rice with fried chicken but all I can taste is just fried rice w eggs. When asked the staff , after eating for 10 minutes not finding any other ingredients, she has said the chicken you have ordered is minced chicken so you cannot taste or see any chicken. Not worth to pay -$11.25 for a plate of fried rice.. which I rather go to Xin Wang

Ordered a set for 2pax with additional papaya salad & desserts (red ruby & mango sticky rice). We had basil chicken, Thai style Kang kong & red Tomyum seafood for the set. Overall food is good, I must say that I am impressed with the mango sticky rice the most.

Sedap! If only the restaurant was bigger and more spacious. Some parts are used like a storeroom. But, food is excellent, served fast and piping hot. Glutinous rice portion was generous in comparison to other restaurants (no pix coz we ate like a glutton)
