Extremely unhygienic and terribly oily food . When asked for other dishes in the menu, they claimed it was unavailable. Hence ordered mee goreng , which was soaking in used oil and the dosai was flimsy, the gravy that came along with it was cold and watery . Unbelievable didn't pay for the meal, only paid for the can drinks

Roti Kosong is good, it's crunchy. What's more is the mutton curry, It really amazed me. The price is also quite ok, 2 Kosong +1kopi cost 3.10bucks only. By the large it's definitely reasonable and tasty

Great teh and love the briyani, the chicken meat simply slides off. Used to come here almost everyday but haven't had the chance these past few years. Glad I dropped by today.

May 2023 Review Overall Average. The fried rice price is slightly higher than majority food stall in the food court/ hawker centre. Taste is okay. Well if you are nearby and at night hungry this is 1 of the food option ;-)

Just avoid at all cost. Charged ridiculous pricing for subpar food. Bomb was soaked in oil and sugar and was soggy and was charged $2.5 for it! The drink was even worst tasted like tap water and charged $1.8 what a daylight nightmare. If they are charging such prices at least up the standard of food! Top place to avoid at hougang green seriously save your $. Total price $7 could get you a farrrrrr better meal then this mess .

Ordered Mutton Biryani and Teh Halia. Total was $8.30. So it should be $7.00 for the Biryani and $1.30 for the Teh Halia?? Can't be sure as there's no price indication on any of the signboard (Thus minus 1 star). Nothing is worst for a customer than going into a eating place and getting absolutely no clues what are the price of the dishes. Many will just leave without ordering in order not to get chop carrot. The more daring one will just order a small item (like a kopi takeaway) then scramble off. Biryani is quite ok with a piece of Papadam that is still 70% crunchy and some achaar. Mutton is average to me. But this place really needs to improve on its hygiene levels. The cutlery holder which holds the fork and spoon is unbelievably dirty with black cakes of dirt on the bottom (Thus minus 2 stars). Luckily I brought some wet tissues so managed to clean the fork and spoon before eating with them. Overall, I would say, buck up before food poisoning occurs and make your restaurant infamous.

Best midnight snacks places you can find in Hougang. It is easy to park and walk over to. The place is served by friendly waiter and they are good at what they do.

Syed Restaurant Family.. This is the worst prata I've ever tasted. Both Kosong and Egg prata is as cold as your MIL (cold and hard). Service is totally hopeless.. I dunno about you but this will be the time they take my money...,👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

If you are packing back pratas, please make sure they pack the correct number of pratas that you have ordered. This has happened to my family several times. Once home we realize we will shortchanged of one piece of prata. If they do this for every 2 customer, it's not fair they make profit in such a manner. This has been happening for the longest time for us. Today I've lost it and so have decided to put up here. Very disappointed at how we are being cheated. We have feedback to them many times too.

Came here for a weekday lunch. The restaurant is tucked in the corner of Hougang Green shopping mall. Can't speak for the rest of their dishes, but the Biryani Rice with Fried Chicken served here is of a very good standard. Not the first time trying. The Nasi Biryani, the rice used if of quality basmati. The flavor is simple almost ghee (clarified butter) rice like, not overpowering. Doesn't give you the bloated, pukey feeling after eating. The Fried Chicken stands out. The batter is not overly thick, so it's doesn't have a dough like texture. It is fried crispy yet the chicken is tender and juicy. Flavor wise, it is not packed with spices, done just right. So if you're a fan of Biryani Rice with Fried Chicken, please give Syed Restaurant a try, it is surprisingly and more importantly, consistently good given the number of negative reviews they are getting for their other dishes.

Good Indian Muslim food with good range to choose from. They have quite a wide range of drinks as well. Staffs are attentive and service is good.
