pathetic ratio of beef to rice given. just look at the amount of beef they gave to me… compared to rice, i have too much rice and TOO LITTLE BEEF. for $7.50, this does NOT fill me up and it’s so expensive? pepper lunch has fallen, it used to be very good, and rather affordable for students. now it’s just pathetic and not worth ur $$. you’re better off eating something else in the kopitiam than this expensive few slices of beef meal. the japanese store & gopizza is a good alternative instead

I came around 7.00 P.M but the staff said they cannot serve us because out of hot plate and they cannot make sure when will the hot plate is ready. After they receive the hot plate from the plate cleaner around 8.00 P.M I saw the hot plate is stacking but they do nothing until it's closed at 9.00PM I waited so long like an hour.

Is has been awhile since I last had pepper lunch. But the beef slices seem to have downgrade and with lot of vein in them. Not having soup with the meal is something. I could understand, but at least the cashier could inform. The notice was paste elsewhere and I only notice after ordering.

Reach at 8pm rice finished. Outlet in plaza singapore also same. If you know rice finishes early, why cant you make enough rice to last. 3 times at 8pm same thing. Better change your timing to when you expect your rice to finish. Why your staff can't make more rice when seeing the rice stock depleting is baffling!

09-th of August 2022 19:15 p.m. Today was the second time at the same branch when I was told, after waiting in a queue that: "Please come back in an hour, no more hot plates available". I have been eating Pepper Lunch very often and since long time ago and that hasn't happened even once in other branches to me. An hour break of the service and in your business due to the lack of hot plates in one of the busiest places in Singapore. Bring more plates not to stop your service and to avoid my disappointed then.

Very tasty and sizzling hot! The black pepper seasoning is delicious and the fact that you can cook the proteins to your liking is fun and yummy. The portions are a bit small for the price though, considering that the chicken had a lot of skin.

Pepper lunch dishes are generally pretty good and tasty overall. Served on a piping hot plate, you must start cooking the meat immediately or it may burn too much. That being the only challenge, the food was still delicious and well seasoned, especially paired with the two sauces they provide. I got the cheese curry beef rice, an absolute favourite because of the cheese and I can flood my rice with curry when it gets too dry. I ordered a beef rice set meal too, with soup and mash potatoes. The mash potato was great, very flavourful on its own and with sauce.

The usual standard for pepper lunch. The queue is always a mess. I think they should clear the table in front of the stall to make space for the queue. FYI, you can ask for no pepper if your kids can’t too peppery food

Food always delicious, occasionally scary aunty or uncle taking order, and the queue line system needs a rethink. How the queue forms and moves along doesn't make sense, off-putting for newcomers.

Arrived at 915pm and they are already counting their cash register and said they’re closed. Posted hours on Google say it closes at 10pm. Whomp whomp. I find that this is true for a lot of F&B here. They close earlier than their posted hours.
