Affordable and delicious gyudons that comes in an assortment of sizes which caters to individual preference of meat : rice ratio. Definitely a go-to place if I want to get my fix of gyudons without spending too much money. The waiting time for food can be sporadic, one of our bowl took close to 40 minutes, while the rest were served within a time span of 10 minutes. On a hindsight, it was a Friday evening and the restaurant was pretty packed and had a consistent flow of delivery orders.

Came here twice. Saturday night, had to queue outside for about 20 min. Friday 2pm, empty restaurant. Has a 30 min dining limit, but it isn’t implemented in off peak hours or when the restaurant is relatively empty. Staff was helpful, responded promptly to the bells. Food came really quickly. I felt that medium size was enough to fill me up. But XL, which is supposed to be x2 the portion, doesn’t seem like x2. They provide free barley which is a plus for me as many casual dining restaurant don’t provide free drinks. Quite a variety of rice + meat options, many different portion sizes and topping. Overall, a great place for an affordable meal.

I’m a fan of Japanese rice bowls and when Sukiya was opened at Waterway Point I was excited. I’ve been to this place a few times and while I respect that it’s tough on the crew to constantly be busy. I think good food and good service goes hand in hand. My visit today was most unpleasant, with my rice bowl really dry. This place don’t serve soy sauce and when I requested for some additional sauce the waitress who came to assist simply did not. I did not order a soup to accompany my rice bowl and I regret not doing so. Service here has hardly been pleasant over my several visits and it seems that the manager there simply condones it. I won’t deny that the food is usually decent and reasonably price. But I hope that the management help address the issue of bad service attitude.

Delicious and authentic, just as how I remember it from Japan. They have a good selection here (just avoid certain things like curry, which Sukiya really isn’t famous for). Go for their classics like Gyuudon— it can’t go wrong considering how many years they’ve been active in Japan. The yakitori and its sauce is also an amazing match with Japanese rice!

Sukiya is a place with GREAT FOOD, and alright everything else. I had their Gyudon with the chicken kaarage set which came with chicken and miso soup (you can order a drink instead by the way). Not a japanese guy but dang the Gyudon is very tasty, with the meat being tasty and sauce being rich, wish they had more chicken kaarage to actually give, there was like 3 tiny pieces, and the miso soup was quite nice for the most part. Staff probably is new to this though, feels like it’s their first day on the job, food is cheap though so I won’t complain. Overall, good food I guessz (would rate 4.5 if could)

The kind of place to head over if you need a quick fix for reasonably priced Gyudon dishes. Won't recommend for gatherings though. It is more of a fast food place. Order the vegetables & drink combo. It's a great value add on

We had the following and the best taste was the Spring Onion Gyudon. The taste was flavorful and yummy but you have to ownself crack the half-boiled egg and it was just the way I like it too. Spring Onion and Half Boiled Egg Gyudon $6.80 Low Carb Gyudon with Tofu, Salad and Beef $5.50 Half Boiled Egg Sukiyaki Gyudon $9.90

Long queue as expected, took a seat but food took about 15 minutes to arrive. Lemonade series is bad. Bad bad bad. What a waste of money. Matcha was mediocre tasted more milk than matcha. Disappointed. Food was acceptable, nothing too much to comment on.

Spent $20+ for 2 people. Food is acceptable taste, felt like fast food. Vegetable tasted bad. Like super old vege. Plus points are: Complementary genmai tea. Place to wash hand, with tissue available.

Don't get me wrong I think Sukiya is great for affordable and decent tasting gyudon. Amd plus points for complimentary tea and tissue. But standards have definitely slipped since their opening and launch in Singapore. Food comes out room temperature and not hot, but my main gripe with this branch are 1) WHY ARE THE TABLES SO SMELLY?? You know that wet cloth smell which cleaners use to wipe tables with? Yes, it's in every corner of this branch, do something about it! Makes dining unbearable 2) their complimentary tea cups are filled and left exposed for long periods of time. This isn't very smart, given that tea is meant to be served hot? I'm also not comfortable that all the cups are completely exposed for long time. Hope things will improve so we can continue to patronize! Recommended dishes: stick to gyudon, the rest of the options came out a little suss.

On the positive side, the food appears to be of decent quality and good value for money. However, the negative aspect of the eatery is the strong odor of urine, which both me and my partner noticed. Overall, it seems that the eatery has room for improvement in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. While the food may be satisfactory, the unpleasant smell could detract from the dining experience. If the restaurant can address this issue, it could potentially improve the overall impression of the establishment.

15 dollars per person in a restaurant for a complete meal, main dish with miso soup, salad and coke is considered cheap these days. This is Sukiya gyudon folks, just opposite Best Denki in Waterway Point. For that price, gyudon is actually good. And it's low card some more. Got tofu instead of rice, and I actuallynlike it. Also got option for okra as toppings. Miso soup is normal, nothing special. And salad is salad haha. Anyway this resto is value for money.

I know sukiya is a budget option for gyudon, so you should not expect service like putien. But food safety and hygiene should always be watched, should it not? This is second time I found plastic covering in my food. Haiz ... Want to keep supporting for good budget option also difficult.

Food is pretty tasty, and price is reasonable. They do have a good variety of combinations proteins and you may order the bowls in different size.

Sukiya used to be delicious and great tasting across its outlets in Singapore. Recently got a Kimchi Gyudon and asked staff if this small amount is right as I felt it’s too little. I was told that this is the “SOP” (standard operating procedure) for the portion size of the kimchi. Was indeed very disappointed. This was not the portion size months ago, I’m not looking for a free upsize. But that this size isn’t it. If this is SOP, Sukiya’s management is a disappointment. The common sauces are a little unhygienic. There is an odor in the outlet and I’m not sure if any steps were taken to rectify the rancid smell. All the tables smell like they re wiped by smelly table cloths. Can the management provide the overworked staff a clean environment to work in? Also, my personal advice is avoid ordering kimchi gyudon if this portion is deemed sufficient by management.

Their newly bibimbap is quite tasty but I think the veggies are too little, nowadays their beef pieces also very few pieces only, too much rice, I don’t think there’s a need to top up rice cos it’s already a lot of rice with too little ingredients 😔

Fast and easy place for a quick gyudon fix! Love the spring onions version and decided to get the karaage set this time. Their earl grey milk tea is better than I expected too!
