I used to eat every now and then at their old location in Ochard Towers Basement. They have now moved just across from where they previously were to a much bigger and better location. Had the fried chicken, vegetable and salted egg with chicken curry gravy. The fried chicken was nice and tender on the inside, and the vegetable was nice and crunchy. The gravy on the rice was also tasty as was the green and red sambal. They have around 35 dishes to choose from, and you will thus be spoilt for choice. Most of the dishes that I ate on previous visits were all good and tasty. I would say that this is the best nasi padang you can get in the Orchard Rd area. The cost of my meal today was $6.50 which is a reasonable price considering the size of the fried chicken. Service has also improved at this new location as they now have more staff. Definitely worth repeat visits.

Was looking forward as this seems to be a highly rated stall. Ordered via delivery platform. Orders arrived more than 2 hours later ( platform hired an external courier ). Understood it is no fault of stall’s as they prepared my food again after the first driver MIA. Something smelled off when i opened the plastic carrier. It was small portion of the rice which i understood could have been prepared earlier in the morning ( my delivery reached after 6.30pm ). It happens. The Batang wasn’t the freshest and the Ayam leg, oddly, tasted tough on outside but was kinda pinkish inside. Again, these problems seems to be recurring elsewhere so i understand too. However, the Bergedil was probably the best we had before. It was packed with a very herbaceous punch. The Beef Rendang was delicious to my partner who couldn’t stop praising the rest of the foods ( he likes it spicy ). He said there were 3 types of spices in his box ( we swopped as my rice was covered in chilli sauce ) The Prawns were allright with the greens. I do wish they weren’t so spicy to cater to those who cannot take spice well. But it is Indonesian style, after all. The Crispy Sambal Fish was a lovely snack although it was a bit chewy. Maybe it was the sauce and maybe they were sliced thicker. The Ikan Bilis Bawang Kerabau garnished with onion & coriander was the Star as it was appetising and sourish. Great with plain rice and other dry carbs. If we are in the vicinity, we don’t mind going back to support them just to see what other foods are good and because their customer service is quite good.

Just visit this place recently, Update review since 4 years ago. The food not original indonesian nasi padang anymore . More to chinese style mix rice style. Yes the tendon rendang and the sambal is there but tastes not the same as before . Not the master Rendang I might say. The rest of the menu nothing special just plain veggie and meat . Restaurant is clean better than shop before .

Had nasi lemak here, about $10 for 4 ingredients plus fish. It is home cooked style of food, not too fancy, and it is quite decent though expensive.

Went as recommended by my friends who are regulars there. Had the best meal i have had in months in terms of day to day kind of food. Spice, flavors, everything was there on my plate. Will come earlier next time to make sure I manage to try their signatures that sells out fast!
