The putu piring was soft and moist and topped with a generous amount of freshly grated coconut. Each piece was filled with gula melaka that was not too sweet. But do note that the kueh breaks very easily. There are branches nearby in Al-Azhar Geylang Serai and Haig Road Food Centre.

Located at the front of the Mr Teh Tarik. There is usually a line but it moves very quickly. Freshly made putu piring, very delicious, eat it warm while the filling is melted. Available flavours vary by day.

Ardent supporter for the outlet since they were at Haig Rd market but it was closed and have to settle for this other outlet. No customer and the putu piring were all pre made and kept in a warmer. Not sure how long ago they were made but they’re definitely not hot and fluffy and they were stuck together - the pandan leaves were obviously not used at all to separate them! In addition, the gula melaka was in a semi solidified state. Went craving for my usual fluffy putu piring but came home utterly disappointed.

Malay version of Tu Tu kueh. Filled with good amount of gula melaka and a lot of grated coconut that comes along with it. Soft , fluffy , moist and chewy....🐷👍👍They are freshly made and steam on the spot, best eaten while it's hot. One of the favourite snack not to miss when you are there.

Queued for more than 20 minutes for this Putu Piring. The Malay lady in front of me shared that this was kampong style and healthy food. Had it on the spot with hot drink from Mr Teh Tarik, while it was still fresh and hot. At affordable price of 5 pieces for $2.50. Give it a try if you happen to be there.

Had it at jewel changi basement food courts. It’s a stall in the corner. (There’s no google review page for jewel changi branch) The service isn’t great. The guys were a bit blur blur and there was a long wait even to place order. Don’t know why the guys were ignoring people standing in the line. Or maybe they are too busy. The food was made to order so it was fresh. The prices aren’t cheap $4.00 for gula melaka sugar only and $4.50 for sugar with coconut filling, $4.70 for other flavors like chocolate, peanut etc. they also had an option - 2 flavors mixed box of 4 (2 pieces of each flavor) for $6. I think it’s a weird premium pricing. I mean if you charge $5 for 4 of 2 each mixed flavor, it’s already $0.30 extra for the “trouble” , right? But to charge over $1.30 for the “trouble” of making different flavors (which you have to do anyway if you got orders per box), it’s a bit over charging. The putu piring tastes good fresh and hot. The coconut gratings were too salty but it complemented the sweet kueh. This was Soft, fluffy and sweet. A nice dessert. I think the basic gula melaka one was the best for me. Would I eat it again? I don’t mind, if I’m in jewel. But I won’t travel purposely for it, surely.

Honestly it’s still the nicest putu piring that I had so far. Even after 6-7 years of eating it. Well done! The flour is well cooked to softness, the sugar is textured and with the right amount of sweetness to balance out the flour. And the coconut was generous even for a serving of 4. Honestly no complaints 👌🏻

This review is for the outlet at Nex. I have noted that an earlier review also commented on the poor service. I would echo the same. The cashier could do with a smile which would not havec hurt anyone, instead of being sullen. Her demeanour was not welcoming at all. For $3.70 you get 4 pieces of coconut filled putu piring. The dough was soft with salty sweet coconut. As you break apart the steamed putu piring the sweet aroma of the gula melaka wafted up your nostrils. What was missing was the fragrance from the pandan leaf which you get from kueh tutu. I kept 2 putu piring to try after 4 hours. The dough was a little firmer and the coconut filling was not as fragrant as it was cold. I microwaved for 15 seconds and it was much better. The dough was softer like it just came out of the steamer and you could smell the fragrance of the filling. I gave a 2 star rating due to the unfriendly service.

Good stuff. Hope they don’t hike price further. Freshly made some more. Good and tasty. Always got queue but don’t need to wait long overall.

Quite tasty - we had ordered the original, peanut, and brown coconut. Original is probably my favourite along with the coconut. The texture of the rice flour isn’t as dense as Tutu Kueh. Will certainly order again.

Our place to go for putu piring. Reasonable price 4 pieces $2.5 and they use a self service cash machine which makes the process efficient and hygienic. Highly recommended.

Nice local pastry that has queue. Freshly made. Getting expensive pricing for flour and coconut and gula Melaka pastry. Still able to draw a nice crowd as it’s popular and freshly made. Overall worth a buy if in the vicinity

First time trying putu piring. Looks like tutu kueh but different. 4 pc gula melaka cost you $3.50, it comes with grated coconut. Hear say the size was much smaller compared to last time and the inner filling not as smooth as before.

Date of visit : Sat 26 Aug 2023 Time : 3 pm Came here for a revisit. Price has gone up. $2.50 for 4. Customer service Attitude is still soso. Date of visit : 30 Dec 2022 Time : 9.30 pm One packet of 5 costs $2.50. Coconut shavings are good so is the gula melaka and the cake, it’s soft.

Very quick and efficient place.. exactly as described in the Netflix Steet Food Asia documentary. I got the regular Putu Piring and it was good.. although I didn't get to see Ayesha.

Sadly, this is so different from the market stall I always patronise! The melaka was hard and clumpy, the flour not steamed enough. I'm so disappointed.
