My first choice out of all the cafes around Thomson. Love everything about this place. Coffee is ridiculously great, nice minimalist decor, chill and friendly crew. Not the usual mainstream food menu but that’s why it stands out. My favorites are the croquettes, avo bowl and Cali steak. Will be back for more!

What a cute little quaint hidden gem! Simple feel good food made extremely tasty. Coffee was well done, and served in aesthetic pottery. Love the rustic charm of this place. And staff were really welcoming and friendly! Quality coffee with tasty food at very reasonable pricing, definitely a place to go!

I ordered the black honey signature coffee and it was really interesting! It’s filtered coffee, soda water and a wedge of lemon in it! I wanted to order the pear tart to go with the coffee but it was sold out already and I reached the cafe at around 2:15pm. So I guess you might want to go earlier since they open early in the morning at 8am. Since there’s no pear tart, I ordered the eggplant and it’s the first time I ordered a savory to pair with my coffee. The eggplant was juicy and tender and it goes well with the miso and tofu sauce provided! The time I reach the cafe it’s was almost full but we manage to get a seat at the coffee bar (high table with high chairs). At around 3pm the crowd was quite thin. Do note that they closes at 4pm and that there are sitting area on the second level. Overall, it’s a nice place to chill over coffee and food. I did ask them if they would change their food menu and what they told me is that they might consider changing their food menu maybe the end of the year.

Excellent coffee and pear tart! I'm not usually a coffee drinker but their coffee was very pleasant and drinkable. Pear tart was very well balanced. Worth every cent! They also have a 10% discount for healthcare workers! Will be back to try their other menu items.

Industrial and quaint place! Coffee was good. Love the glasswares as well. Food was just ok. A bit more horseradish in the cream would give it a bit of kick. Since it’s still in its soft launch phase, hopefully they manage to iron out the kinks and streamline their operations.

Chanced upon this little cafe along Upper Thomson road and decided to try the Dirty White for $6.50. It was a pleasant surprise as it tasted rather different. It was rich and creamy, aromatic and pleasant on the palette. Enjoyed it! The cafe has limited seating areas. Not sure if the upper floor is open. The food menu looks enticing but slightly pricey. We didn't try the food, so can't comment on it. Otherwise, a good place for a cuppa.

One of the best coffees I've ever had. I've tried a lot of coffee in Seattle, and this place tastes similar as the good coffee there Came around 3.30 and ordered a 8oz white. Coffee blended really well with the milk and made the cup really smooth Note that by 3.30 their kitchen is closed. Might be earlier, idk, but the bar remains open.

Must visit! Opens early morning. Located in Longhaus, beside OCBC drive-thru. Great coffee, food and ambience. They play jazz playlist! Nice place to unwind. Accepts credit card. Tried the grilled cheese with tomato soup, very crispy but a tad bit oily.

enjoyed the vibe, the coffee, the people, the food!! quite convenient to get to too, just a walk away from thomson mrt. would not recommend the heavy cream latte thing tho, not the easiest to drink. toasties were great, but bread a lil too tough for me :( would come back just to chill and have a cuppa :)

Battered seabass sandwich ($17) - 5 stars So much umami without too much salt. Perfectly crisp. 8oz white ($5) - 4 stars Bit too milky for me, I'll get the 6oz the next time. Gasharu hand pour ($8) - 3.5 stars Too bitter and intense - I felt it masked the fruity notes. Love that they open early, have free WiFi, and power outlets conveniently located below the seats!

Not recommended at all. The bread for the fish sandwich is burnt and taste bad. (item is called Gone Fishing, I thought is fish and chips, turn out is sandwich) The smoked potato croquette is the worst, I cannot even figure what is that. I’m not sure if the chef taste it. The texture of whole piece is crumbly and mash is tasteless. The cafe seems understaffed, I can sense the staff’s frustration when we asked for water. “Please get it downstairs, I am very busy” The dirty oat I tried was ok. Definitely will avoid this cafe again at all cost.

Excellent cafe tucked away in a small corner next to the Shell petrol kiosk. There are other eateries next to it. The coffee blend is really good. I am typically very afraid of ordering Iced Black coffees in cafes because of how diluted they can get but what I had at State of Affairs really impressed me. The coffee was aromatic with the right level of acidity. There was no odd aftertaste either. Separately, I also had the butternut hummus which came with sourdough on the side. As the sourdough was deep-fried, it was a little oily to me. However, I really enjoyed the hummus! It is really unique and complements the sourdough well.

Finally got to pop by this coffee spot right by the ever popular wssd for some cuppa n to try their smoked nana bread/cake, which turned out to be quite tasty except coild be heated longer for much moister center, but overall decent slice id say! The ambience was pretty chill, songs were top tier for me nostalgic n the right playlist imo(: altho, what id say abt the this place is the service..perhaps its earlier in the day or perhaps its a friday but i couldnt feel much warmth frm the hospitality i was hoping for, maybe regular visits might justify a better service experience but based off this first visit of mine, it wasnt the best im sorrie to say~>.

Revisit. Coffee was ever awesome. An expanded food menu. Industrial and quaint place! Coffee was good. Love the glasswares as well. Food was just ok. A bit more horseradish in the cream would give it a bit of kick. Since it’s still in its soft launch phase, hopefully they manage to iron out the kinks and streamline their operations.

The food is OK, but a bit over price given its location and general atmosphere. Just a small cafe with mediocre design. The salmon bagel is with small portion of smoked salmon. Nothing special. 16 SGD. The kaya toast with eggs is really nice. But charges 9 SGD. I can easily get all these in more 'atas' place with lower price. The coffee is good but they only serve oat milk. Too bad I prefer fresh milk or soy milk. So I ordered iced black instead. It was OK. Service wise. Haiz. Their table is not really wiped clean. Esp they use black table. Any oil stain or dust will be clearly visible. Then they put cutleries on the table instead of putting on my plates /hand it to me/ separate basket. This little steps make the difference. You see even hawker tze char stall, they don't put cutleries on table, but the edge of your plates /hand it to you.

It was quite a short walk from the MRT station. The food was great except their avocado toast was tasteless. I came when trying to find a new art class and there is also alot of classes here.I searching for some food nearby I found this café with some good reviews.

Pretty chill place for breakfast. Had grilled cheese. Looks plain and simple, but it’s very filling. Wished they had a little more tomato soup, as the combination takes away the gelat-ness of the cheese.

Cosy cafe that serves some interesting beverages along with burgers, pasta, bagels and more. I enjoyed their rose pasta very much! Tomato cream sauce was good with a tiny bit of chilli heat and a sprinkle of green onion for an Asian twist. They even bothered to season the IQF prawns and did it perfectly, in my opinion. The fish and tater tots would have been good if it wasn’t so oily and a bit crispier. The green sambal was nice though. Just a light aromatic flavour with a bit of heat. I also tried their espresso and honey concoction, which was interesting. Service was almost always with a warm, friendly smile and the occasional personal touch. Seating is simple and could be tight if it’s crowded but their playlist is pretty cool. A bit of alternative, indie and light smooth jazz. Prices are nett, so that’s a big plus!

The AC is only on the first floor, so if you sit on the upper floor, it won't get cool even if you wait. I tried the pastries, the cannelé was okay but not outstanding, and the apple crumble tasted awful. It had a mushy texture, and there was no sweetness at all, just the greasy taste of butter. I came in because the atmosphere seemed nice, but the chairs were uncomfortable, it was hot inside, and I wasn't satisfied with the food... don't think I'd revisit. The food menus on other customers tables looked good though. maybe it was just the dessert or...

First time visiting at this cafe. The coffee was quick to deliver, but not for the ordered food. Ordering time around 9:40am, but only 30mins later then served. And somemore served my order to the next table who arrived after I have settled down & already ordered for it. Tot enjoying to watch the coffee brewing, look like only coffee can make it. As for the sourdough bakery, can order at the next few units away 😷
