Dishes looks aesthetic, and staff are pretty quick to serve and respond. The pork is soft and flavourful, and the mango milk pudding was nice. The cabbage dish was aesthetic, but the taste wasn't as exceptional. It is less suited for solo travellers as many dishes are meant for sharing.

These designed cuisines, tasty tea, warm service, and gorgeous environment were perfectly combined by Silks Palace. After the meal, it was easy to take a walk around National palace museum. Thus, We had a great celebration for Mother’s Day and should be willing to re-visit in short times.

This is the review of the all you can dinner. There are two options Cantonese dimsum and a regular Chinese hot dishes which are on both sides of a single laminated menu. You are supposed to mark what you want on a order pad in Chinese. So don't let the host take away your menu unless you can remember your dish name in Chinese. The portion were small but it gave us more opportunity to try out more. And if you really liked a dish you can order it again. There was a time limit of 90 minutes which was more than enough. Food was good and the price was worth it too sample such variety in one sitting.

This place is only popular because of the location (next to museum) and attracts all of the tourists (including us). The food here is a hit or miss. We ordered three dishes: the ginkgo nuts and mushroom, Cantonese seafood stir fry noodles, and beef noodle soup. Let's start with the good. The stir fry noodles was great. It was more like drunken noodles where the noodles are chewy and bathed in a thick syrup that moistens it. The other two dishes were bad. The mushroom dish was bland. The beef in the soup was suppose to have come from America but it was so chewy that I feel sorry for people who thinks this is what American beef tastes like. Overall, none of the dishes were authentic but the place was fancy and it didn't make me regret coming. I wouldn't mind coming again, but I'd go somewhere else if I knew a decent place nearby.

Went for the all u can eat dim sum on a Saturday lunch. Great ambience, and service. The roast pork, wine marinated chicken, goose cold dish was pretty good. The Cantonese dim sums were so so. Unfortunately, the cooked dishes, such as steamed fish, spicy beef, sweet and sour thousand year egg , stir fried squid were all below average, not sure they were freshly cooked since they came in small sizes.

Good. We went here for a quick bite and ordered the beef noodles. The restaurant is very nice looking and the servers are accommodating and well presented. A bit expensive for Taipei standards though.

IG: foodie_foxx As a self-proclaimed food aficionado, I have had the opportunity to indulge in countless meals at some of the most exclusive and luxurious hotels around the world. And while it is not uncommon for high-end hotels to fall short in the culinary department, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Silks Palace, located within the grand National Palace Museum, offers a dining experience that is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment you step into Silks Palace, you are greeted with an array of Italian-style breads, cheeses, butter, and other delectable condiments that are sure to tantalize the taste buds. The offerings continue with a diverse selection of fresh seafood salads, expertly prepared meats, and classic pasta dishes that are sure to delight even the most discerning of palates. But what truly sets Silks Palace apart is their exceptional steak, which ranges in price from 1600-4000 NTD. The meat is undeniably fresh and cooked to absolute perfection, with each bite revealing an exquisite delicacy that will linger on your tongue long after the meal has ended. And let's not forget about dessert, where Silks Palace truly shines. The Hagen-Dazs station features an impressive twelve varieties of ice cream, each one more delicious than the last. From rich chocolate and velvety vanilla, to tangy fruit sorbets and indulgent caramel swirls, there is something for every sweet tooth at Silks Palace. Despite the high-end setting and the impressive selection of dishes, Silks Palace remains an approachable dining experience that caters to a wide range of palates. And while the steak is undoubtedly a standout, the buffet as a whole offers an unparalleled culinary experience that will leave you eager to return for more. In short, Silks Palace is a true gem among high-end hotel dining options. From the expertly prepared dishes to the decadent desserts, every aspect of the meal is crafted with care and precision. So if you're in search of a truly exceptional dining experience, look no further than Silks Palace. Bon appetite fellows Peace ✌️

My friend in Taipei invited us to Silks Palace for lunch. We truly like this restaurant, good atmosphere, comfortable seatings and really authentic Cantonese and Taiwanese cuisines. I particularly like their 紅燒牛肉麵 (Spicy Taiwanese Beef Noodle), 伊麵 (Cantonese flat noodle), their dessert and dim sum are also very tasty. A nice place to dine after visiting the 故宮博物院 (National Palace museum). I would definitely revisit this restaurant the next time I visit Taipei.

I made the mistake of not making a reservation and had to wait 5th in line which was quite a wait as it was the lunch crowd. Service and food were good. If you want to enjoy the ambience of a high class setting then this is it. Food was good and service was prompt.
