It’s my first time trying Vadai as I’m not a fan of Indian food. But decided to give it a shot after seeing long queue during peak hours. Surprisingly it’s nicely deep fried and not oily when u eat it! It’s soft and chewy on the inside too! But do not recommend the chicken skin as it’s very hard even I eat it straight away… need to pop into air fryer to revive it.

Awesome food, atrocious waiting times. Came here as someone told me the food was good. The queue was really long even on a weekday and one of the customers behind me actually gave up waiting. Noticed that they only had one poor dude taking orders, packing, arranging the order and collecting payment. Oh my, I do hope they get someone to help him with his duties as customers would not like waiting for too long. Other than the waiting time, the food was awesome. The prawn in the vadai was fresh and the dough was so light. I could eat 2-3 at one go. The staff was very friendly even though he was very busy, so kudos to him. I will definitely return! Please improve your waiting times!

12 Oct 2021 - takeaway during Post Circuit Breaker Phase 2 (preparatory stage) / Stabilisation Phase to COVID-19 Resilience. 3.5 stars. I only buy and eat prawn vadai, never bother about the rest. Was quite lucky, didn't have to wait too long, only about 20+ minutes from joining the queue at about 3.20pm to getting my vadai at about 3.45pm, as they were frying up a new batch of prawn vadai and the queue wasn't too long. But there were people who had paid for their orders and waiting by the side for the freshly fried vadai whilst others were in the queue to wait to order. Got a box of 6 vadai for $6.50 . Wonder how much they charge for 1 vadai here as I understand it's $1 each at their other locations. So 50 cents is for the box?? The prawn vadai are tasty, prawn is fresh, the dough is flavourful but amongst the 6 pieces I got, some were a bit too dense and chewy whilst the others were OK - crispy on the outside, light & fluffy on the inside. A few pieces were also rather small. Not very consistent. OK to buy if it's a short wait but I won't bother if the queue is too long. They don't keep frying up prawn vadai all the time, only at certain times, even though it's their best seller and always not available in the display counter.

Queue is long all the time, so just prepare yourself if you wan to get some of these yums. The prawn vadai is fluffy and prawn is fresh. It’s not too oily and not too spices taste. Comparatively the ikan bilis is bigger and have more flurry dough. Ikan bilis also fried to crispy. It’s worth a try.

Really taste better than other seller in Changi Village or Gelyang serai. Crispy and don't taste like bread! Give lot of chilli! Friendly staff!

Bought from the Tampines Pasar Malam in Niv 2023. Asked for 8 prawn vadai. The staff (female Malay with specs, about 155cm in height) asked me to make it 10 pieces. But I realised even buying 10 there is no discount. She confirmed that and said if I still want only 8, it is okay. I told her to give me only 8 pieces. The cashier asked me for $13. I got confused how come 8 pcs and 10 pcs the same price? Turns out the staff still put 10 pcs instead of 8 pcs as agreed. People make mistake, I get it. But instead of saying Sorry, she grumbled as if I was the one who placed wrong order! She was also lying that the items were still hot when in reality they were warm, and in fact some were quite cold. Vadai might be good in taste but the service is really bad. Not a good experience. Some people really should not be in F&B/Service line if they have such a mighty attitude.

Prawn Vadai Dhal Vadai Bought around 7pm but both item were hard cold and dry when I got it. Really chewy too. Quite disappointing since I had the good one at Pasar Malam before. I guess business was slow and all the item have been left out for awhile? I ate it almost immediately after getting it so I am sure it's not because I kept it for too long. I guess this kind of food is still best getting it from Pasar Malam itself.

The classic poster Indian balding bro that went to KL outlet for the opening is working as a cashier today. He is on heat. Short temper. No more spices and herb. Purely dough and oil. Cut corners.
