Very nice Indian restaurant! First time being here and I enjoyed the food so much. Ordered a few different dishes with my friends. The boss recommended some dishes which were great. Will come often.

We had the set rice dishes and Fish 65. Both tasted good. More on the spicier side but that's given since it is Chettinad style dishes. The fish dish was so-so and quite pricy for the amount we got. It was not crowded since it was about 1.45pm. Service was commendable and food arrived on our table within 10 minutes.

We visited at 9.30pm for dinner and mutton briyani was no more. Almost everything tasted below average. Fish 65 was rubbery. Chicken was over cooked and dry. Prawn manchurian gravy was waste. Coz of such poor taste, we went with idli set which actually felt better to some extent and gave a feel that we had ate something good. Expected the restaurants to be active during diwali weekends, but it was not the case. Anjappar food tastes are not the same at it was a couple of years back.

Lovely restaurant to have great briyani mutton. Short grain rice, not the usual long grain Basmati you seen somewhere else. Fragrant and delicious nonetheless. Ordered pan fried fish and a kind of chopped up prata… not sure the actual name… delicious! Parking was a challenge for me, had to circle around the area to find one… on a weekday noon no less.

Great place for South Indian food. Clean and suitable of a larger group of people as well. Just had a popular thali and it was on point and reasonably priced. All the curries were delicious and the portions were really good. Loved every bite. Will definitely drop by again when I am in town and try some other dishes.

Patrons don't come here for the deco (it's functional and even a little worn) but good authentic food at reasonablen prices. It didn't disappoint for sure. Managed to snag the bamboo bryani (not in their menu).

The epicurean voyage was a sheer delight as always. The service was as expected, outstanding and ambience, welcoming. A must try for all in search of authentic Indian cuisine, right in the heart of Singapore’s civic district.

Had Mulligatawny soup that was rather plain but tasty. It had some leftover fried chicken in it. I ordered mutton biryani and that’s where the real problems were. Spicy rice with over cooked egg and dried out meat. Biryani is a masterpiece of flavor layering. This was definitely not. It seemed like a fast food version except without fast food prices. I won’t eat here again when I’m in Singapore.

We came here for staff lunch, with an overall budget. The staff kindly helped us keep within budget, assisting us swiftly. The place is clean and air-conditioned. For those who could not take spicy food, they offered to make the food less spicy.

Venturing into Little India we were looking for South Indian food for lunch. We looked for a restaurant that promised a diverse dining experience, but the journey left me with conflicting impressions. The meal commenced with a lackluster start as stale pappadum greeted our table. However, the momentum shifted positively with swift service, showcasing the kitchen's efficiency. The service itself was a highlight, characterized by attentive staff who contributed significantly to the overall pleasant ambiance. The culinary voyage hit a rough patch with the Fish 65, delivering a disappointingly bland taste. Suspicions of catfish usage manifested in an unwanted fishy undertone, leaving a less-than-ideal first impression. The Chicken 65, while not a disaster, failed to impress, settling into a realm of mediocrity that left a gap in our expectations. The Mutton Masala Curry emerged as a savior, offering a delightful, spicy experience. Despite the curry's success, the mutton itself faltered, showcasing a slightly tough and chewy texture, signaling room for enhancement in the cooking process. A shining star amidst the culinary constellations was the Porotta—crispy on the outside, with a flawlessly fluffy interior. It stole the spotlight and became the undisputed highlight of the evening. The masala tea, though over-spiced, managed to strike a peculiar balance, providing a distinctive flavor that may not resonate with every palate. In contrast, the lime juice emerged as a refreshing and well-executed beverage choice. In terms of hygiene, both the restroom and the dining area were maintained to a commendable standard. In conclusion, this restaurant is a mixed bag, with standout dishes like the Porotta and Mutton Masala Curry contrasting against lackluster starters and average fare. I would skip the appetizers and go straight for the main course. The biriyanis on the menu looked good.

A tasty meal for moderate prices - $60 for a fish briyani, a masala chicken dish, a plain dosa, ginger tea and apple juice. Had the fish briyani - the rice was fluffy and light and well imbued with the flavor of the spices. The fish was also very tender and tasty, without being dry. An excellent dish! The Anjappar chicken masala was tender and had deep complex flavors with a moderate spiciness. Very tasty! Ginger tea was well done and the apple juice was freshly made. Dosa was decent but I've had better. Service operations were the big gap for me as it was difficult tp get help to make my orders and the dosa order appeared tp have been forgotten until we prompted them for it.

Anjappar chicken fry (dry) would rate 2/5 since the chicken pieces were too chewy Fish non veg meals - served with 2 veges No papad given Chicken curry with the meals was too bad 1/5 Fish curry 3/5 Mutton curry 3/5 Mutton brain fry - tasted good but the texture was like brain was grinded, perhaps overcooked. 3/5
