Very good soup broth. Tried the ginseng black chicken soup. Pleasantly surprised to find chestnuts in it and some glutinous rice in it. Friend got the wagyu beef dofu soup that is very rich with loads of vegetables. Will go back again.

Very friendly staff, tip top world class service! Finally tried their new menu after they discontinued their unlimited buffet. Taste wise, it’s pretty similar. Their bulgogi beef is so gooooood. The package I ordered also had ice cream!

The hotpot is pretty meh. We tried the SDB, army stew, ginseng chicken and the non spicy bean based soup. Only the ginseng chicken is somewhat good. The rest don’t really have any depth in flavor. On the bright side they do have a lot of ingredients, so you are still somewhat getting your moneys worth, but I wouldn’t go back again. Also the service here is pretty slow…there’s only one server who’s really hard to flag down, even tho there’s only 4 tables filled…not very sure what she’s doing at the counter or the kitchen.

My kim chee beef hotpot was good. Beef was fresh and thinly sliced. Friend’s tofu stew pot was equally delicious. A pity the side dishes were very miserable. Apart from the kim chee, there was only cabbage … The drink that came free with the set was some sour plum berry. I did not mind the taste but friend said that it tasted like cough syrup. Attentive and friendly staff.

Kimchi, cabbage achar and vinaigrette black fungus = Banchan. Seriously? Lettuce, garlic, 'Banchan', even sauces came in such adorable servings that staffers had to make 4 runs to replenish these just only 5 minutes into our meal. Wagyu Nakaniku and Chuck Eye that came in the set were lean, zero beef flavor and tough as leather when cooked. Ala carte premium platter was a lot more acceptable. Signature oxtail soup was lacking in flavor, under seasoned and served up only slightly warm. At $55 a head, one will enjoy a better quality satisfying Korean BBQ meal along tanjong pagar road for the same. 3 service staff had a hard time keeping up with the less than half filled dining room. Thankfully diners were patiant and understanding. 27 years since my last visit to a Seoul Garden BBQ eatery. Came with great anticipation and left with disappointment. The competition has came out ahead in the game, leaving a trail of dust.

The food is fine here, but the only thing made my family meal went bad is the service, the man who have responsibility for cleaning is very rude, my realatives dont know how to change the paper when grilling, instead of showing us how to replace the paper, that man came with a very angry attitude and started growling, almost like shouting and threw his cleaning stuff. Very disappointing when i met this situation in a very nice and polite country like Singapore

Apart from the amazing front of house service, everything was very average. Some of the staff indoors were rather grumpy except from one kind aunty who recently started her work here. I much prefer HotPot by Seoul Garden which is set in clementi mall. It offers better flavors and quality at the same price point. The fish here was rather fishy and didn’t taste very fresh.

Made reservations for 2:30pm and waited for a good 5 minutes or more. Another group simply walked in and the worker just attended to them. Telling us to wait. What even. Bad service.

Well, it must have been almost 20 years since I last dined at Seoul Garden, and it was at Bugis Junction back then. I thought I would try the Korean BBQ buffet again for lunch, this time at HarbourFront. The fresh meat and vegetables were placed right at the restaurant entrance, very close to the mall exit, exposing them to dust and whatnot from outside. Upon walking in, I already noticed fruit/drain flies hovering around the food. There was no effort made by the staff to handle the unhygienic situation. I thought, never mind. I’m not too particular about it since the food will be cooked before consumption. There were only about 3 to 4 groups in the dining area when the horror began - multiple tour groups stormed in for lunch. Not only were they extremely noisy, but they also lacked etiquette. Some were wet coughing repeatedly, some used the tongs on the table to pick up fresh food from the counters, and some used the same tongs at the counters to pick up multiple pieces of food. The waitstaff could be seen yelling at them and stopping them from contaminating the food, while the tour guides just sat together at their table minding their own business. It was just total chaos. I had to remind myself to clean my hands after using those tongs at the counters. I was not sure how germy they were. I think the management needs to address the issue with the tour companies. The tour groups must be briefed on the dos and don'ts first. The food was generally okay. There was a 2-hour time limit, which I thought was sufficient to stuff ourselves with grilled meat and hotpot. But the overall experience was bad. Diners expect a comfortable and relaxing dining experience, yet all we got were stress, worries, and annoyance.

A Buffet of Beef, Chicken and Sea food. Most people come here as it's Halal. Taste is average and the for first timers it's quite difficult to understand the format. Can give it a try if you have a Halal eating friend accompanying you. No alcohol. No pork.

Review for SEOUL GARDEN HOTPOT Food was delicious We had; 1) Wagyu Beef Kimchi Stew Wagyu beef was sliced thin, i feel its better if you get the normal beef at a cheaper price if there is such option as it would taste the same due to the thin slices of the wagyu. Nevertheless, the soup taste wasnt diluted and flavours were on-point. 4.5/5 2) CNY special; Fried soft shell crab with garlicy soya sauce. Not bad quite nice, but didnt taste the garlic much, more of the drizzled soya sauce. Perhaps the other spicy sauce would be nicer. Rate: 3/5 3) CNY special; hotplate lamb bulgogi. It mentioned spicy, but i think its only peppery spicy, but still delicious. Spicy level is good for those who cant withstand spicy but wants a hint of it. Neverthlesd the lamb was super nice. I would rate it 4/5. Free flow delicious kimchi for self service. It was empty at first but staff was reasonably fast when prompted for top up. 4) service: servicec was good despite the busy crowd. Staff was patient to explain about membership discounts and the app navigations. Rate: 5/5 5) Ambience: feels better after renovation however perhaps can still have better lighting. Rate: 4/5 Will patronize again

I’ve been a regular to this branch ever since they open here. I ordered seafood army stew just now with add-on 2 slices of cheese. There were no cheese on top like how i always ordered previously. The waiter claimed he did ‘announce’ that the cheese slices were included but were put before the army stew. This pinoy waiter who have been working there for quite long was very defensive when I told him there were no cheese. Since when cheese slices were put below the army stew soup? This is a Korean dish. Do not change the dish anyhow. Show to the customer that you DID put the cheese, which is an ad-on and it’s not free. And the chicken drumlet is also not cooked.

I have been patronising this Seoul Garden outlet at harbourfront centre for years because i stayed nearby and its convenient for me. Never ever had i been disappointed in dining there until yesterday when i came in at lunch about 12.36pm to dine in with my wife. ( Do note that lunch operating hours is from 11.30am till 3.59pm and customer been given 1.5 hours to dine or was it 2hours i forget ) Therefore, coming in at 12.36pm, its still a long way till the end of lunch. When i came to the 'cooked food' buffet selection, the curry chicken is empty and not topped up yet. Almost one hour into dining, still the cooked food not topped up. When asked the staff, the staff mention they are out of curry. Shouldnt the staff replace the menu with other cooked food rather than just leave the buffet empty throughout my whole dining experience. Its quite unacceptable as theres still more than 2 hours left till the end of lunchtime. Having so many staffs on the floor and not a single one bother to top up the food or ingredients ( its not just the curry chicken but also some raw ingredients ). What am i paying to dine for? By looking at the picture provided, most of the earlybird customers has already left and the outlet wasnt too full to begin with and my table is the only one left that is still continuing to dine. Not even a single staff bother to attend to my table to clear the plates and cups from the moment i sit in and i have to stack the plates just to make space for myself. Did i not pay a 10% service charge? The only time ur staff engage with me is to show me my seat. Even when the place is already empty no staff cared enough to clear the tables or changed the paper on the grill. This is by far the worst experience ive had in this outlet. Usually when i come to this outlet to dine, im always attended by a female indian manager and an attentive friendly female staff who is always attentive to the patrons (sorry, didnt know her name) and always on the ball. Unfortunately yesterday when i dine there, none of these 2 were around and instead, i got a male chinese manager and a bunch of staffs who are paid to just stand around doing nothing. Guess its no surprise there why the outlet is empty after 1.30pm. With these kind of staffs, who needs customers, right?
